Medal. Mother-of-pearl, gilded silver. Spain, 18th century. Medal or habit with a bow at the top (behind which the medal's ring appears) and a plain frame with diagonal mouldings. On one side, on a tortoiseshell background, the emblems of the Spanish Inquisition can be seen (a Latin cross flanked by a sword and a palm tree) and, on the other side and on a mother-of-pearl background, a fleur-de-lis Greek cross appears (of the type used by the Order of Preachers or of Saint Dominic).
