Desk table, following English models. Mahogany wood, metal. A rectangular, smooth-top writing table with four cabriole legs and drawers in the front (with metal handles with cut-out decoration of bows and simplified plant elements) set around a carved, scalloped detail, beneath which the profile is carved in curves and counter-curves. The piece is inspired by English models in both its decoration and its lines. Compare with examples in the George II or Georgian period.
