Decoration - Bronze Sculptures
Reference: V4018
Bronze sculpture. “Kneeling girl”. Inspired by models by Auguste Moreau (1834-1917). Lost wax casting. Marble base. On a bronze base that has been given the appearance of earth, the figure of the girl and a plant are kneeling. The young woman appears with her arms extended at the height of her face and looking to one side, in an attitude of surprise. The work is based on models by the French sculptor Auguste Moreau, who debuted at the Paris Salon in 1861, where he would exhibit frequently until 1913. He was well known for his works on pastoral themes and his allegories, and his realistic and graceful style.
