SILVER AND GLASS CRUET STAND. G. CALVO, VALLADOLID (SPAIN), 1900. WITH HALLMARKSS

Decorative Antiques - Miscellaneous
Reference: Z4834

Convoy of vinegar makers. Contrast by García Calvo, Valladolid, 1900. With hallmarks. Glass and silver. Silver convoy formed by a base on large pearls and with a central axis finished off by a ring and another ball. The simplicity of the lines brings the work closer to the aesthetic approaches more characteristic of the 20th century, and is continued and highlighted by the two glass bottles, which have supports for the corks. The contrast marks on the base place the work in Valladolid; the one in the centre would be that of the silversmith and the one on the left that of García Calvo, who worked in contrast in the city towards the beginning of the 20th century. Weight: 380 grams.
