Pair of andirons. Wrought iron. 18th century. Pair of wrought iron andirons decorated with fine lines and smooth mouldings on the vertical rods and volutes in the flat metal acting as legs under them. Although they are utilitarian pieces that have had a similar shape since ancient times, the present examples show a marked influence of the 18th century Neoclassicism to which they belong.
