Sundial and compass with case. Bronze. SCHRETTEGGER, Johan. Augsburg, Germany, circa 1800. A polygonal sundial made of bronze, engraved with plant elements on the front, placed around the centre, where a compass is shown. On the back, the name of the author and the place where the work was created have been engraved. The instrument is accompanied by a case, also polygonal, with a flap closure and lined with textile on the inside. Johan Schrettegger (1797-1843), son of Andreas Vogler, worked in that German city creating pieces such as this one.
