Allegory of Air. Enameled porcelain. Hispania porcelain, Spain, 20th century. Enameled porcelain figure with gold touches showing a half-naked child, with an old-style hot air balloon and bellows, sitting on a base clearly reminiscent of the Rococo era on which the text “El Aire” can be read, alluding to the allegory that the piece represents. This type of work is inspired by outstanding works from European factories. The factory known as Porcelana Hispania made a series of quality pieces in this same line (animals, couples with a Rococo influence, etc.).
