Advertising poster, Granados y Mateos (Sherry wine). Cardboard. First half of the 20th century. Kunstdruck Friedberg. It has a small fault. Advertising poster. Granados and Mateos. Granados y Mateos, as indicated on the poster, were "Manufacturers of pure aniseed spirits from Rute grapes," located in Jerez de la Frontera and associated with sherry wine, although Córdoba is mentioned in the advertisement (this would be the origin of the grape). The company was founded in 1885 by Vázquez, Granados y Carrillo, for the export of sherry wines. In 1890, they merged into the Granados y Carrillo partnership. In 1897, Carrillo retired and Mateos joined, remaining under this name and beginning that year to expand into the markets of Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, and America. Note the reference to the printing house responsible for the poster, Kunstdruck Friedberg of Berlin.
