Bronze sculpture. “Worried girl”. Lost wax casting. Marble base. The girl stands on a base that resembles earth, on which a stump and some roses also appear. Her hand on her face and her worried look, together with the gesture of spreading her skirt, make the spectator think that perhaps she has lost the flowers she was wearing or something is wrong with the garment. The influence of models from 19th century French bronze sculptures is clear in her shapes, lines and the vocabulary explained. Weight 5 kg.

Mythological figure. Bronze. A circular base slightly elevates the bronze figure. The man, already of a certain age (as can be deduced from his thick beard), is standing, dressed with a cloth around his waist, wearing sandals and a crown of leaves (perhaps also with bunches of grapes), and holds a torch in his right hand while with his left he raises or fights a large snake that seems to emerge from his shoulder. Although it is logical to think that this is Laocoon fighting the snake, there are other mythological figures that have been represented facing monsters (often with that same form), such as Cadmus; the Fury Tisiphone is represented holding a torch and one or more snakes in her hands.

Carved silver box, 20th century. Small silver box carved with a wide variety of motifs, all belonging to different artistic traditions based on Roman classicism. On the lid, two musicians appear framed in a decoration made up of figures and plant and architectural elements. The front shows garlands of flowers and leaves and scroll shields. The base is decorated with scallops, flowers and plant elements. These types of pieces were used to store various objects, and were usually carried or left on the dressing table, belonging in all cases to people of importance due to the quality of the work and the material with which they were made. Serving cutlery in a case. Silver, gilt silver, textile, etc. Puiforcat, France, circa 1900. With contrast marks. Pair of serving cutlery with a silver handle in its colour and the other part gilded, decorated with engraved and embossed elements in the neoclassical tradition, and openwork areas with plant elements. Émile Puiforcat, when he took over his uncle's company, registered the hallmark that the firm still uses today (a knife flanked by the letters E and P). The rectangular case, with clasps at the front, features a strip referring to a Brussels jewellery and goldsmith's shop called De Coster Paternoster (located at 128 rue Royale), which sold notable pieces such as diamond earrings, cufflinks, etc. Weight: 296 grams.

Centerpiece, “Hercules as Atlantean”. Bronze and marble. The circular base is decorated with a string of pearls and scrolls. On it, two half-naked children hold the light marble cup that is the centrepiece. Thanks to the lion's head hanging from one side, the bearer can be identified as Hercules. The classicist inspiration of the work is clear, as is the influence of 19th century French bronzes.

One of the ladies raises her hand towards a dove that has just landed on it, while the other elegantly turns towards the bird at her feet. Note the high quality of the modelling, composition and enamelling of the work. The marked idealisation of the scene, the inconsequential subject and the colours used relate the work to creations from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres (France).

Leontina, late 19th century. A leontina made up of six chains attached to a ring decorated with scrolls and small pendants, from which hang a series of objects and hooks for small items. The two longest ones end in an openwork plate with a ring for the watch. This type of “jewelry” was very common in the upper class, to carry pocket watches, the keys necessary for their operation and other small valuable objects.
