Hand-colored and framed engraving showing, in the center, a plant, flanked by two smaller ones. All three have their name, in Latin, below them, highlighting the central one, Helleboraster maximus, named Helleborus foetidus by Linnaeus in 1753, is a genus of angiosperms of the Ranunculaceae family, and one of its varieties is known as the Christmas rose. The plate is inspired by one from the work “Hortus Eustettensis” by Basilius Besler (1561-1629), who was a respected German doctor, pharmacist, and botanist, from Nuremberg.

Church of the Saints Juanes, Bilbao. Framed print. BAYÓN SALADO, Juan; “Bay-Sala” (Logroño 1913 - Bilbao 1995). Signed (lower left area). Urban view showing the Church of the Saints Juanes of Bilbao to the right with part of its surroundings and unidentified characters. Known as Juan Bay Sala, he was an artist who began his career in Bilbao, showing his work for the first time in 1941 in this city and, in 1942, in Zaragoza (where he already signed as Bay Sala), Logroño, etc. His national recognition arose from his participation in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1943, and in 1945 he was a founding member of the Vizcaína Artistic Association. He exhibited his work regularly in Paris, and also showed his work in Madrid, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Barcelona, Miami, etc. His works are found in the Museum of Fine Arts in Bilbao and the San Telmo Museum in San Sebastián among others.
Flower vase. Aluminum. Vase with a circular base and a mouth that widens towards the top from about the middle of the body of the piece. The lines and lack of decoration show a clear inspiration in industrial design models from the second half of the 20th century.

The washer that acts as a base is decorated with mouldings, while the barrel emerges from a pedestal topped by a large pearl and is shaped like a vase, with its convex lines contrasting with the concave lines of the small vases that hold the candles. The striations, lines and decorative elements are of classicist origin. Weight: 750 gr.

It has a square base with flattened corners and is decorated with mouldings that create a stepping pattern almost reaching the barrel, worked like a polygonal baluster decorated with concave mouldings, which have also been used to decorate the small vase that holds the candle. The decorative forms of this pair can be related to baroque elements, while the purity of the lines and the simplicity show a classicist influence. Weight: 720 gr.

Hand mirror decorated on the frame with a crescent moon with a face and a clown or pierrot reminiscent of those of the Italian Commedia dell Arte genre that used to appear in art towards the beginning of the 20th century; the handle features another figure similar to the previous one.
