Children and Bacchus. Biscuit porcelain. Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, 20th century. With marks on the base. On an oval base are three child figures, one reclining, one sitting and the third standing. The grapes, bunches of grapes, leaves and a cup that they represent link the piece to a Bacchic scene and to the Roman god associated with wine. It was a very popular theme in 19th century porcelain, to the point that several pieces similar to the present model are known to be preserved in private collections.
