Decorative Antiques -
Reference: ZA6649

“The Court of Cleopatra” and “The Queen of Sheba before Solomon”. Framed illustrations. Based on the model of OBERHAUSER, Emanuel. Early 20th century. The work entitled “The Court of Cleopatra” is a photogravure inspired by a work by Emanuel Oberhauser (note the “signature” and the inscription below the image) published by Louis Wolf around 1906 (indicated above the image), and later coloured. The one entitled “La Reine de Saba rendant visita à Salomon” is based on another painting by the same master as the previous one, and is another photogravure also published by Louis Wolf, surely at a similar date, and also coloured.
