Bull. Bronze. Based on the model by BENLLIURE GIL, Mariano (Valencia 1862-Madrid, 1947). Mariano Benlliure was a Spanish sculptor, a precocious creator both in the field of painting and sculpture. He trained in Valencia, Madrid, Paris, Rome, etc., and his name became famous, more or less, when he settled in Madrid in 1887, obtaining a First Medal at the National Exhibition of that year. His healthy financial situation allowed him to have a great social life, meeting prominent figures of the time. He produced numerous religious, civil and funerary works (Cabra, Madrid, Seville, Navarra, etc.), and his work is preserved in important private collections and institutions.
