Advertising poster, J. Leña Rendon and Co., Wine and Cognac warehouses and exporters, Jerez de la Frontera. Cardboard. First half of the 20th century. Curiously, the photograph of the lady also appears (or may have come from here) on a postcard (series 35, No. 8) of the Universal Postal Union, an organisation created in 1874 (with this name in 1878). J. Leña Rendón & Cia. was founded in 1885 and was known then for Gayarre cognac, among other specialities. It is mentioned in the Reseña de Bodegas de Jerez by R. Mena y Sobrino (Jerez, Litografía Jerezana Vicario, 1900).
