Pair of enamelled porcelain figurines. “Children with flowers”. Inspired by porcelain models from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. Each is placed on its respective base, and both children appear dressed in the same colours in their outfits to unify the work. The flowers add the necessary touches of colour in these works. The delicacy of the gestures, the high quality of the enamelling and the subject matter put the couple in relation to European porcelain works of the late 18th century. Although the subject matter was very popular in all the important factories, the work is inspired by French examples from the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres.
