Bronze sculpture “Deer”. Lost wax casting. The animal is positioned with one of its front legs slightly raised and its head and ears raised upwards. Although deer are a very common animal in small-scale bronze sculptures since the Renaissance, its naturalistic treatment and the prominence given to it in this work brings it closer to contemporary approaches.
