Pair of candlesticks. “Man and woman”. Lost wax casting. Marble base. These anthropomorphic candlesticks are worth highlighting for a series of details. Both in a similar posture and attire, the young woman is highlighted in height thanks to a classicist-inspired dolphin on which she rests her foot, and the man adopts a posture that is not characteristic of the more traditional male figures, but of the female ones. Although this work can be linked to the nineteenth-century French tradition of bronze figures, these details bring the works closer to more contemporary artistic approaches.

Centerpiece in bronze and glass. Lost wax bronde casting. It is cup-shaped, with a base made from four bamboo canes joined together with a cord and decorated with flowers and leaves, a transparent glass container and two handles with leaves curved inwards. Oval table mirror frame in bronze. The space for the mirror has been highlighted with a string of pearls. The frame has a profile with great movement due to the curves, counter-curves and volutes that it presents. Tabletop mirror frame in bronze. Inspired by Art Nouveau models (ca. 1900). Although the interior shape, very similar to a heraldic shield, links with academic prototypes, the prominence of the stems that form the exterior profile of the frame, the curved lines they draw, the flowers and the interlaced finish (which is vaguely reminiscent of Celtic style) speak of influences from models derived from Art Nouveau, a characteristic style of around 1900 and also known as “Modern Style”. Bronze sculpture. “Heron”. Lost wax casting. Marble base The heron is positioned in the usual position chosen for such animals: with its wings slightly open, walking, and its head pointing upwards.
