Centerpiece in bronze and glass. Lost wax bronde casting. It is cup-shaped, with a base made from four bamboo canes joined together with a cord and decorated with flowers and leaves, a transparent glass container and two handles with leaves curved inwards. Although the shape corresponds to a very old prototype of table centrepieces, the prominence of the plants and the presence of bamboo brings the work closer to more recent approaches related to Romanticism and the 19th century.

Bronze figure placed on a circular base showing a humbly dressed child, holding a teapot and raising his hand to his mouth in a gesture of shouting or hawking his “merchandise” or services. The piece is reminiscent of European works (France, Vienna…) from the late 19th or early 20th century, both in the material chosen and in the subject matter of the sculpture, its size, composition, detail, etc. The inscription on the base (P. Dubois) refers to the sculptor Paul Dubois (France, 1829-1905), whose work inspired this sculpture (especially one in particular, very similar to this one).

Tabletop mirror frame in bronze. Inspired by Art Nouveau models (ca. 1900). Although the interior shape, very similar to a heraldic shield, links with academic prototypes, the prominence of the stems that form the exterior profile of the frame, the curved lines they draw, the flowers and the interlaced finish (which is vaguely reminiscent of Celtic style) speak of influences from models derived from Art Nouveau, a characteristic style of around 1900 and also known as “Modern Style”.
